South Kingstown EMS will begin training this month with the Handtevy pediatric resuscitation software. The resuscitation software system will provide paramedics rapid access to lifesaving pediatric medication dosing, pediatric equipment and high acuity medication information. The software will also provide paramedics enhanced quality control measures for providing critical medications to children.
South Kingstown EMS recently was awarded a $4,500 grant from the Rhode Island Department of Health-EMS/EMS for Children to enhance emergency care for children in Rhode Island. The grant provides funding for the software and training of EMS personnel.
