More then 50 SK residents attended a Planning Board workshop held on June 13 to review proposed revisions to the Town’s Comprehensive Community Plan. The workshop was the last in a series of meetings held during the last 18-months. The comments from the public will help the Planning Board finalize a Plan that will be presented to the Town Council later this summer.
The workshop materials are available online at http://www.plansouthkingstown.com/june-13-public-workshop-materials and comments on the materials can be emailed to Kaela Gray, Principal Planner, at kgray@southkingstownri.com. While a full draft of the Plan is not yet available, it will be soon. Once the final draft is available, the public will have 30 days to review the plan and provide written comments. There will then be a public hearing before a joint meeting of the Town Council and Planning Board. If you are interested in receiving email updates as to when the comment period opens and the public hearing is scheduled, please sign up here.
Thank you to all who have been involved in the process to date. Your feedback and continued participation are critical to making this Plan update a success!
