The South Kingstown Town Council has been working with a consulting firm, The Mercer Group, Inc. the last few months to conduct an executive search for South Kingstown's next Town Manager, as the Town's current Town Manager Stephen A. Alfred announced his upcoming retirement after over forty years of dedicated service to the Town.

At a regular session held December 18th, 2017, the Town Council appointed Robert C. Zarnetske III as South Kingstown’s new Town Manager.  Mr. Zarnetske will assume his new responsibilities effective January 16th, 2017.
