Engineering
The Engineering Division is responsible for the administration, planning, and design of all public works programs and projects in Town.

Highway
The Highway Division has direct responsibility for maintenance and improvement of the Town roads, bridges, dams, storm drainage and related infrastructure.

Trash & Recycling
Residents of South Kingstown have the option of contracting with a private hauler or taking their trash and recyclables to the Rose Hill Recycling-Transfer Station (RHRTS).

Plastic Reduction Program
Information on the Plastic Reduction Ordinance that was adopted by the Town Council on June 25, 2018 and goes into effect on January 1, 2019.

Wastewater
The Wastewater Division operates and maintains a regional wastewater treatment facility located on Westmoreland Street in Narragansett that services portions of South Kingstown and its regional partners, the Town of Narragansett and the University of Rhode Island.

On-Site Wastewater Management
The Public Services Department is charged with overseeing and enforcing the Town's mandatory septic system (ISDS) inspection program.

Water Division
The South Kingstown Water Division provides water for the geographic area south of U.S. Route 1 from Green Hill to east Matunuck, in addition to the Perryville and Middlebridge areas of town.

Directions:
The Public Services office is located at 509 Commodore Perry Highway (US Route 1 South) near South County Hospital in the former police station.
From the North- Take 1-95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4 South)
- Follow Route 4 South onto Route 1 South
- Follow Route 1 South into South Kingstown
- The driveway to our building is on Route 1 South (approximately 6 miles after the Town Line) shortly after the sign for the South County Hospital exit
- Look for the 200-foot tall orange and white lattice tower behind our building
- Take Route 1 North into South Kingstown
- Take the Salt Pond Road exit
- At the bottom of the exit, take a left, go under Route 1 overpass, and take another left onto the on-ramp for Route 1 South
- Before merging onto Route 1 South, turn Right into our driveway
- Look for the 200-foot tall orange and white lattice tower behind our building
