Community Recreation Center

Project Update

Construction of the South Kingstown Community Recreation Center began in March 2016.  Since the official groundbreaking ceremony, Ahlborg Construction Corp. has been working on site daily and there are now clear signs of the facility's footprint - all 29,000 square feet!  Up to this point the initial site clearing, excavation, grading, foundation work, drainage, and preliminary utility work is complete.  The actual building frame is in the manufacturing stage and is expected to be delivered for assembly this fall.  The Parks and Recreation Department can't wait to see the final product and put it to good use for the benefit of the entire community.  Stay tuned for details on the grand opening next spring!
